Torn or punctured leather jackets can be patched in many cases. Tears along seams or small holes can be stitched or reinforced from the inside quite discreetly; large tears on flat panels will leave visible marks and are hard to make completely "invisible" — how noticeable depends on the location, leather type, and the craftsman's skill.

Details
- Split seams: restitching is nearly invisible.
- Small punctures/tears (cigarette burns, nail snags): a reinforcing backing is bonded to the inside + color blending on top — visible only on close inspection.
- Long tears on flat, visible areas: require grafting a piece of leather in the same grain and color, and the seam will show — either accept the "battle scar" or alter the silhouette (e.g., re-trimming). Smooth, light-colored leather is harder to disguise than textured/dark leather. Bring the jacket in so a technician can inspect it directly and recommend the least visible option.
