From a small corner of a Hanoi street, Gazano grew out of a pure passion for leather shoes and goods — and is today a premium leather-care brand trusted by thousands of customers every year.
Gazano was born on 09/08/2017 under its first name "Tiệm Đánh Giày" (The Shoeshine Shop) — sparked by a chance remark in a familiar café. The founder, Dinh Thanh Phong (born 1986 in Hanoi), was then chief engineer for a Singaporean company with over 13 years in IT and telecoms.
In 2019, Phong left his "thousand-dollar salary" job for good to pursue his passion for dress-shoe care — a craft that "nobody did". Covid hit, business shrank, and at times he took jobs again to keep the passion alive. The turning point came in 2022, when million-view TikTok videos carried the shoeshine craft — against social prejudice — to millions of people.
The press came calling: VnExpress, Dân Trí, VTV (VTV3 Morning Café), Dau Tu newspaper with the story of "the engineer who left a thousand-dollar salary to shine shoes". Gazano was reborn, building a properly trained team and making 50 Vo Van Dung — Dong Da its professional home from late 2023.
Today Gazano runs 2 locations in Hanoi, is the official partner of Saphir (France) and Santoni (Italy), and serves thousands of customers a year — from sneakers to Hermès and Louis Vuitton. More than a service, Gazano spreads the passion and craft of leather care to Vietnam's younger generation.

Gazano was reborn in a finer space in Dong Da, building a properly trained core team.
Phong Dinh and Saphir's official distributor launched the world's #1 premium shoe-polish brand in Vietnam.
Phong Dinh judged the Vietnam Shoeshine Championship 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, while Gazano joined hands with Santoni — the 50-year-old Italian shoemaker.
